For the first time in a long time, I actually am enjoying my blog. I'm sure no one else on earth could say the same thing about my blog. I know it still ain't not much worth reading as it is but at least it now looks like a blog thanks to the ingenious Blog Ingeniería who gives away this stuff for free. Actually it looks more like my kindergarten cork board than anything else but I could not care less. Kindergarten was the best time of my life.

What bogs me about this template is that there's just so much to fix and I don't have a lot of time to spare for that. For one thing, I now need an "inicio pagina" (home page). That kinda complicate matters you know. On the brighter side, the template actually inspires me to do my bit for the Spanish language. I'm no longer good in it as I used to but it did serve as my cradle language. Well, one of many.

Enough talk. I need to go to work...

Goodbye Friendster!! I've joined Facebook!!

Yes my title just says it all.. I'm saying goodbye to Friendster in exchange for Facebook! To say that its better is a big understatement.

I like to keep life simple, that's all.

Well at least now I'm a feelin a little better already... so, feel like joining my network??

OMG! DMOZ TURNED ME DOWN!!

(Today is a most unhappy day. I think I'm gonna die, in some poetic sense okay? My one simple dream in life to be a Dmoz editor has been turned down. Why! Oh why!? It doesn't really matter. Sometimes life just treats you so unkind that you don't really care what happens next... oh well, here's the rejection letter of Dmoz, in all its glory, for all the world to see! It's a cruel world wide web!!)

I've joined DMOZ!

I did not say they accepted me but well, I hope it won't take long for me to find that out. I did not expect to be quizzed though. They asked for at least 2 sample url's I would put in the directory and that took some thinking and a lot of clicking.

In the course of answering, anyway, I picked up this site for weird love advice. So if you have love problems why not ask, of all people, Dr. Zaius! I didn't like the advise he dished out of course but it was fun, in a weird sort of way. If I were to be accepted as a DMOZ editor I'd propose a category for "Weird Websites You Shouldn't Read" and this will be on top of the list. Come to think of it, why not a category for "Banned Websites" that would contain all foul things on the internet. Just kidding DMOZ guys! This is just me saying, "Accept me... please!".

But anyway here's an idea, suppose I turn this blog into an online guide on how to find a reason to blog? That should make this site full of unanswered questions. My science professor once said defining the question clearly is almost as good as knowing the answer, so I guess I'm safe. Anyway, I think that professor was kicked out of the school but all students liked him. All you had to do during exams was to re-cast the questions back to him and that's as good as getting an A+.

(Update: I just noticed that I already have seven posts in all. Incidentally I have 1 post for each day of the week, almost as if I've been blogging daily for seven days in a row! Hey, I'm on a roll!)

Okay I changed mine mind. It takes time to do anything important. So, it takes time to delete a blog.

What this new entry really means is that I can say with pride that I've been blogging for almost two years now and its just swell!

My marketing mentor said I must target a specific niche to blog successfully. Well, I told him, I haven't really actually found my reason to blog, so how do I found my niche. Playing Socratic on me, he asked in return, how do think you can do it? Thinking he got off the hook he gave me a warm supportive smile. I'm not one you can easily dupe into using my gray matter, so I retorted, You tell me! And I followed it with a quick, you're the expert! Ha! That's when he yelld to his secretary, Next client please!

All is not lost anyway. A stranger I met in a dream told me, "maybe your niche has not yet been conceptualized... perhaps your audience has yet to be born! " Armed with that wisdom, I've decided to journey on until I've discovered my path. Maybe I already know, its just that I don't know it yet. Wow... that's profound. I have to sleep on it some more.

Anniversary post!

Happy anniversary!

So it's been a year, huh? We've been blogging on an off. Somehow we made it through, for a year at least. Still there's no sign of that unique blogging proposition ever coming. But we'll keep trying. (Hey that's a nice idea! Unique blogging proposition UBP I ahould have it trade marked!) Where was I? Ah, there. We'll keep trying, you and me. :-)

I'll keep you posted, somehow. I just can't keep my mind off the possibility of deleting you from my life once and for all, that's all. Hope you understand.

How to delete a blog

Blogspot makes it so easy to delete a blog, so I thought I'd give it a try one of these days...

I have not been exactly being true to my blog mission, (which is to just blog) because I have not been blogging all these months despite the colorful melo-dramatic off line life I have.

Well I have a life you know? That's a pathetic excuse. You'll say I heard that before. Okay here's my excuse: something came up. Okay , friendster came up, and I just have to focus a bit on that.

So maybe I should delete this blog because I have a friendster account... whaddaya think?

When in doubt...Think!

That's just about the piece of advice I can give to a new friend I've met a few days ago. I'm still wondering why he no longer consider me a friend a few minutes after that. Was it something I said?

Why do people ask for advice when they have a mind of their own to think and tinker with anyway? I need an advice on this one. Do tell me!

Well, okay, here's my take. Asking someone for advice liberates them from the burden of looking inside. But I say it also robs them of the joy of self-discovery. Okay, let's not be harsh on advice askers. I will just say, you owe me an advice today and I expect to be paid three weeks from now, when my girlfriend will probably dump me for some cute chap she met yesterday (based on my guesstimate, it takes 2 1/2 weeks for most girls to realize they're in love with someone new and another 1/2 week to figure out how to dump you).

So when in doubt, think. Then don't tell me what you think. Just think.

It will save me and you the trouble of pretending to know the answer. Then I will ask you later, "how's life old chum?" That's when I'm in a better mood to help out and possibly think up ways to help you. Perhaps what I will say will actually make sense.

Okay, kay, just little niceties.

This blog is just an attempt to be present on the web. Remember those days at school when you just want to "establish your presence" at the classroom so the teacher will mark you present in her attendance booklet? That's what this blog is all about. Just an attempt to be present.

So no promises, here. I will try to blog if and when something happens to be worth blogging about. No personal advices either. I won't give that here. Give me peace of mind, for once! Okay I'm just kidding friends, countrymen, neighbors...

Oh this is fun. I'm not even trying to be serious but I'm gonna be publishing this so-so piece of junk, not even a quality junk, for shame! Anyway, I hope to raise my hand again next class. For now I have a bus to catch. Oooops! I can't catch it, too big for me hands...!
